Dear Emily,

Hope you’re doing great! I was really happy to get your message. It’s been ages, hasn’t it? Funny timing actually, because I just heard about a job that I think would suit you perfectly.

There's a local company called BrightEdge Media and they’re looking for a Content Marketing Specialist. The job involves writing blog posts, managing social media platforms, and helping with digital marketing campaigns. The team is creative, and the work culture is relaxed and supportive. I think you’d enjoy working there.

What really makes me think this role is ideal for you is your writing talent and the internship you did at Buzzfeed while we were at uni. You’ve always had a great way with words, and your creativity would be a huge asset for them.

To apply, just go to their website and click on the “Careers” page. You can fill out the application form there. I’d also suggest emailing your CV and a few writing samples directly to their HR manager. Let me know if you need the contact details.

🔍 IELTS Band 9 Insights

1. Task Achievement:

All three bullet points are fully developed. The job is clearly introduced, linked to the friend’s skills, and application steps are clearly explained.

2. Coherence and Cohesion:

The letter is well-organised. Each paragraph develops one idea, and transitions are smooth using phrases like "What really makes me think" and "To apply."

3. Lexical Resource:

Vocabulary is rich but natural: "supportive," "a huge asset," "writing talent," "application form." Informal tone is consistent and appropriate.

4. Grammatical Range and Accuracy:

A range of sentence types are used effectively. There are no grammar mistakes. Contractions like "you’re," "it’s," "I’d" help maintain an informal tone.
