Band 9 Sample Answer:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction following a recent visit to your main branch on King Street on July 25th. I had come in to update my personal information and request a replacement debit card that was due to expire.
Unfortunately, the entire experience was disappointing. Despite arriving early and taking a token, I had to wait over 45 minutes before being attended to. When I finally reached the counter, the staff member seemed unsure about the procedures for processing my card request. Moreover, she provided incorrect information about the required documents, which resulted in my having to return the following day. To make matters worse, no apology was offered for the inconvenience.
Given the size and reputation of your bank, I had expected a higher standard of service. I would like you to investigate this incident, ensure staff are properly trained, and consider implementing a better queue management system to reduce waiting time. An acknowledgment of this complaint and steps taken to improve service would be appreciated.
I look forward to your response.
Yours faithfully,
Aman Verma
