The line graph illustrates the percentage of women aged 15 to 64 in employment in five different countries (Iceland, Canada, Germany, Chile, and Turkey) between 2003 and 2009.

Overall, it is evident that Iceland had the highest proportion of employed women throughout the period, while Turkey had the lowest. Although employment rates for women generally increased in most countries, Iceland experienced a slight decline by the end of the period.

To begin with, Iceland had the highest employment rate, remaining above 80% for most of the period, though it slightly declined after 2007. Canada and Germany followed similar trends, with employment rates remaining stable between 65% and 70%. Germany showed a gradual increase, whereas Canada's figures remained almost unchanged.

In contrast, Chile and Turkey had significantly lower employment rates. Chile showed a steady rise from approximately 35% in 2003 to around 40% in 2009. Meanwhile, Turkey had the lowest figures, fluctuating around 20% to 25% with minimal overall change. Despite the differences in employment rates among these nations, most countries saw an upward trend in female employment over the years.
