Band 9 Sample Answer:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing in response to your recent advertisement seeking volunteers for the upcoming City Sports Championship. I would be delighted to offer my help at this event.
I have always been passionate about sports and community activities, and I believe this event is a great opportunity to contribute to something meaningful. As an enthusiastic supporter of local athletics, I enjoy promoting physical fitness and teamwork, especially among young people. The chance to be part of an event that brings the community together truly appeals to me.
In terms of experience, I have volunteered at several public events, including the Annual Charity Marathon last year, where I helped manage the registration desk and distribute refreshments to participants. I also hold a valid first aid certificate, which could be useful during the competition in case of minor injuries or emergencies.
If given the opportunity, I can assist in coordinating participants, guiding spectators, or managing logistical arrangements before and during the event. I am available throughout the weekend of the championship and would be happy to attend any briefing sessions beforehand.
I look forward to hearing from you and would be grateful if you could let me know how I can best contribute.
Yours faithfully,
Anjali Mehra
