The maps illustrate how the layout of a public library has changed from the year 2000 to the present day.

Overall, the library has undergone major internal reorganisation. While the entrance and some original sections such as Travel and New Books have remained unchanged, many areas have been repositioned, new facilities have been added, and space has been restructured to include more modern features like a café and seating.

In 2000, the library was more sectioned and book-focused. Fiction occupied two separate areas on the left and right sides. The centre had a row of three vertical sections: Art, Hobbies, and Cookery. Travel and New Books were located near the entrance, and Non-fiction took up the bottom-right corner. The Service Desk was situated in the bottom-left.

Since then, several transformations have taken place. The large Fiction area on the left has been removed, and the Art, Hobbies, and Cookery sections have been moved there. The central space has been opened up and tables have been added, providing a reading and study area. The Fiction section has been shifted to the top-right corner, and Non-fiction has remained in the same location. A new Café has been constructed in the bottom-right section, replacing the earlier Fiction space. Travel, New Books, and the Service Desk have not changed.
